- Take 1cup raw ice(cooking rice)
- Prepare 1cup Urad dal(without skin)

- Wash and soak par boiled rice and raw rice for 5_6 hours.
- Wask and soak urad dall with methi seeds for one hour
- Then grind the rice to a smooth batter by adding water gradually. Once it's done transfer it to a vessel
- Then put urad dall and grind it separately to a smooth paste. Now transfer this to the rice batter vessel add salt and mix well with the hand for 3_4minutes.
- Cover this batter and leave it for fermentation till next day.
- Then check the consistency of the batter. If it's very thick add little water or that's fine.
- Pour a glass of water in the pressure cooker. Bring it to a boil.
- Take idly plates non-stick or steel. Pour the batter and steam it for 7_8minutes.
- Turn off the flame and check the idly whether it's cooked. Use a small spoon or fork.
- Remove the idly from idly plates using a spoon and plate it for serving
- Serve it hot with chutney, sambar or idly podi
