  1. Get 3 medium size potatoes
  2. Make ready 2 green chillies
  3. Get 1/2 inch ginger
  4. Get 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. Take 1 cup semolina
  6. Get 1/2 cup curd
  7. Prepare 1 tsp fruit salt or cooking soda
  8. Prepare 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander

Instructions to make Potato Idlis:
  1. Peel and chop potatoes. Add potatoes, green chillies, ginger,cumin seeds and 1/4 cup water in grinding jar and grind it in fine batter.
  2. Add semolina and curd in that batter, mix well, cover and rest for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes, add coriander and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add fruit salt. Add 2 tbsp water over fruit salt to bubble up and then mix well.
  5. Heat water in steamer, grease idli stand and fill it with batter. Cook it in steam for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
