  4. Now add salt and oil to the roasted rice flour. Mix well Add hot water slowly, with the help of spatula mix the flour well. Add water little by little and make it as tight dough. Adjust water as per the rice flour.
  5. Prepare small oblong balls and load it in the idiyappam press. Grease the idli plate with little oil. Press the idiyappam strings onto idly plate. Once the dough is pressed, transfer the plate to a steamer and steam the idiyappam for 10 mins. After 10 mins of steaming, rest the idli plates for 5 minutes before removing the idiyappam. Serve idiyappam with sweet coconut milk.
