  2. Now let the dough cool down for few minutes. Grease a chakli maker. Add the dough in the - chakli maker with sev blade attached.
  3. Meanwhile heat water in idli vessel. Grease the idli mould plate. - On the greased idli mould plate. Press the chakli maker in a circular motion. Cut the extra strings as the mould is full.
  4. Repeat the same process for remaining dough. Steam the prepared idiyappam for 8-9 minutes on medium flame in idli vessel or until it's done.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chicken curry
